Quality Assurance / Quality Control

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Program of BMWC companies encompasses proposals, procurement, value-added processes, inspection and testing, documentation and final acceptance for pressure vessels, process and power piping and boilers, and related processes.

Quality features include:

1. The ASME Code Stamps “S” and “U” for power boilers and pressure vessels and the NBIC “R” Stamp for repairs;
2. The Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Quality Manual for pharmaceutical and biotech facilities manufacturing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API);
3. The Good Construction Practices (GCP) Quality Manual for petrochemical facilities; and
4. The Project Specific Quality Manual (PSQP) for public utilities

Quality applications include preparing and negotiating project or facility specific quality manuals from a quality template to reconcile codes, standards and customer technical requirements into a single plan.

All quality programs include:

1. Certified Welders – ASME Section IX
2. Qualified Weld Procedures – ASME Section IX
3. Certified Inspectors/Examiners – AWS-CWI; or SNT-TC 1A.
4. Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP)
5. Defined Documentation and Turnover Packages (TOP)
6. Specialized training and certification where applicable (e.g. Passivation, Good Documentation Practices)

Our material joining processes include SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, Automatic Orbital Welding as well as bonding and brazing.

Finally, our entire program includes a management infrastructure trained and cognizant in technical requirements including the ASME Code Section 1, VIII Div 1, ASME B 31.1 and B31.3, ASME BPE, AWS Standards, API Standards as well as customer specific requirements.
