BMWC Receives Safety Awards from Three Rivers Manufacturers’ Association (TRMA)

BMWC is pleased to announce that we were granted the Award for Meritorious Performance for High-Risk Work and Gold Award during the 2021 Safety Awards ceremony by Three Rivers Manufacturers’ Association (TRMA). These two awards recognize the exceptional safety practices that team members have demonstrated through consistently acting with a high level of commitment in dealing with hazardous conditions.

Below are the qualification guidelines that were used in determining eligibility:

Award for Meritorious Performance for High Risk Work:

Applicants must achieve a total OSHA recordable incidence rate of 0.6 or less while working at TRMA facilities, achieve an overall company recordable incidence rate of 2.0 or less, and have no work-related fatalities during calendar year 2021. Only contractor companies performing work judged as high risk (fabrication, installation, construction, etc.) are eligible for this award.

Gold Award:

Applicants must achieve a 25% or greater reduction in the total OSHA recordable incidence rate with no workplace related fatalities during calendar year 2021 as compared to the average of the total recordable incidence rates for the three previous calendar years. The 25% reduction must have been achieved for work done at TRMA plants AND the overall company recordable incidence rate. Applicants that experienced no OSHA recordable in the previous 4 years (2018-2021)will also be eligible.
