Project Scope
BMWC is proud to serve as the mechanical contractor for a 90 MW Midwest hyperscale data center, a facility designed to support cutting-edge computing infrastructure. This ongoing project represents one of the most complex liquid cooling installations in the industry, requiring precision planning and seamless coordination. Our scope includes liquid-cooling systems that directly serve equipment in the data center’s hot aisles, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. BMWC is responsible for fabrication, installation, flushing & passivation, and commissioning of these critical systems across six data halls.
With 65,000 linear feet of piping, predominantly 6” stainless steel, this project demands advanced planning and execution. Space constraints within the data halls make Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) essential. BMWC’s internal VDC team is developing detailed models to optimize layout and ensure uniformity across piping loops—streamlining fabrication and installation while minimizing risk. Our experienced project management team is leading coordination across multiple subcontracted scopes, including flushing, insulation, and NDE. Supported by our BIM and Preconstruction teams, BMWC is leveraging decades of expertise in complex piping systems to deliver this project on schedule and to the highest standards.
