BMWC Wins CCS Crystal Eagle for the 8th Time

BMWC Constructors is proud to share that, for the eighth time, our company has been awarded the Coalition for Construction Safety’s (CCS) Excellence in Safety Crystal Eagle Award.
The Crystal Eagle Award is the highest honor CCS can bestow upon a company, recognizing exceptional safety leadership, performance, and culture across the construction industry. Earning this distinction again is a powerful testament to BMWC’s unwavering commitment to sending every employee home safe every day. This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our entire organization. From the craft professionals in the field and shops, to our supervisors, project teams, safety professionals, and support staff. Safety excellence doesn’t happen by chance; it’s built through accountability, teamwork, and a shared mindset that puts people first.
In addition to BMWC’s company‑wide recognition, General Foreman Nick Smale was honored with the CCS Outstanding Craftsperson Award.
Nick joined BMWC in 2022 and quickly progressed into a supervisor role through his leadership, technical expertise, and strong commitment to safety and quality. He has been instrumental in the continued growth of BMWC’s fabrication operations and is currently leading teams at the Miley Street and Elder Street shops.

These honors belong to every BMWC employee. They reflect a culture where people look out for one another, speak up, and take personal responsibility for safety on every job, every shift. While we celebrate these achievements, we stay focused on continuous improvement, strong leadership, and our commitment to zero incidents. Thank you to everyone who makes safety personal at BMWC. Congratulations to the entire BMWC team—and to Nick—on this well‑deserved recognition.
