Cultivating a Culture of Caring

BMWC welcomed guest speaker Marcy Watson from an Indiana-based organization called the Construction Family Assistance Foundation (CFA). Their purpose is to give financial assistance to construction workers and their families who have been affected by a life-changing workplace injury. Board members of CFA are all active volunteers who advocate for jobsite safety but recognize accidents happen. Their efforts help provide relief from cumbersome situations that occur in result of workplace injury.

During the event, employees were encouraged to actively listen to Marcy speak about CFA’s mission and general resources. Check out the video below to listen to what Marcy had to say:

The ‘Safety for Life’ culture at BMWC relies on each employee to actively participate in following the guiding fundamentals of safety. Open discussions were had on the threats presented on jobsites and what improvements could be made to protect crews from said hazards.
