Management. BMWC has been investing in the next generation of leaders for years and continues to seek out new ways to encourage students to pursue careers in industrial construction.

This year’s recipient was Lancelet Jackson Kennedy, a senior Construction Engineering Student at Purdue University. Lancelot has been working in construction since 2012 for several different companies including Innovative Pipeline Solutions, Water Reclamation District of Great Chicago and the Superior Construction Equipment/Estimating Division.

He also showed exceptional leadership skills through numerous activities:

  • President of CEMentors—A club for Construction Engineering Management students to connect and network. As the President, he created a database of internship resources including FAQs and construction terminology.
  • National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Competition Team Member. There he collaborated with other students to design and build 14 libraries for the local neighborhoods.

By seeking out new opportunities, Lancelot has gained experience in underground utility rehabilitation, heavy construction and several foundation methods. His dedication to the field and his drive to learn makes him someone BMWC is proud to support. We wish him the best in all of his efforts and are eager to see where his hard work will take him.
