Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun is the main cause of skin cancer. UV radiation can also come from tanning booths or sunlamps. The most dangerous kind of skin cancer is called melanoma.

The good news? Skin cancer can almost always be cured when it’s found and treated early. Communities, health professionals, and families can work together to prevent skin cancer or detect it early on.

Make a difference: Spread the word about strategies for preventing skin cancer and encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to get involved.

BMWC is proud to represent Safety Week 2015. This is the second year Safety Week is being recognized across the country. Our company, along with 45 of the largest construction companies around the world, are working together to share ideas and celebrate safety throughout the construction world.

Because we care about the welfare of every employee at BMWC, we’re excited to be a part of a national event that is devoting a week to feature such an important topic.

As a company, we know that safety doesn’t stop when you leave work.  It should continue at home and in your community as illustrated by our motto “Safety for Life.”  So, our Safety for Life Committee decided to give everybody a chance to emphasize home safety during Safety Week 2014. We are encouraging all of our employees to do a “home safety audit” to ensure that their home is safe, inside & out. Each employee is also receiving a DVD in the mail with a heartfelt story that should be watched with their family to learn the importance of taking the time to follow proper safety procedures.
