BMWC awarded highest honor at Zero Injury Safety Awards Gala

Gold AwardThe National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee (NMAPC) Zero Injury Safety Awards (ZISA) Program recognized BMWC Constructors, Inc. with the Gold and Bronze Star Safety Awards, at their 15th annual Zero Injury Safety Awards Gala. These awards are based on consecutive number of hours worked without a recordable incident. The Gold Award is the highest honor in construction safety and was given to BMWC for working 1,165,181 safe hours at a Confidential Refinery. This award recognized not only BMWC, but also the refinery and the Will and Grundy Counties Building Trades Council for working together to create a safe working environment for our craftspeople.

The Bronze Award was presented to BMWC in conjunction with Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) and Northwester Indiana Building Trades Council. BMWC received the award for working 488,230 safe hours at NIPSCO’s Bailly Generating Station in Chesterton, IN.

Safety is a core value at BMWC and these awards demonstrate what we commit to every day – Safety For Life.

“The supervision and project team led by BMWC Project Managers Justin Knapp and Mike Keneson are consistently taking our Safety-for-Life programs like Task Hazard Analysis, Group Audits, Pre-Job Planning and Behavior-Based Safety to the highest level.
