BMWC has been an approved contractor in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program for 18 consecutive years and has had Mobile Worksite Star Status for seven straight years. What is the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)?
The VPP recognizes organizations and their workers for successfully maintaining injury and illness rates below national Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for their industries.
How to achieve STAR Status under OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP):
Employers must submit a completed application to OSHA for review. Once the request to join the VPP has been processed, a thorough onsite evaluation will be conducted by a group of safety and health professionals. If it is deemed the company is qualified to participate in the VPP, they will then be re-evaluated every three to five years to remain in the program.
